On Oct. 1, 2011, family and friends celebrated the wedding of Katie Lauffenburger and Phillip Thompson at the historic General Warren Inne in Malvern, Pa.
The bride is the daughter of Kenneth Lauffenburger and Jody Lauffenburger of Warren. The groom is the son of Mark and Maria Thompson of Kennett Square, Pa.
The bride was attended by Laura Miller, Laura Hayes and Crystal Byler. Groomsmen were David Thompson, Matt Miller and Robert Strube

Katie studied art and animation at Allegheny College and received her master's degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2007. Phillip met Katie almost six years ago while working toward his master's degree at the University of Chicago. Katie now works as a motion graphics artist for a digital marketing agency, and her husband is a consultant to companies from Sweden.
The newlyweds currently live in Chicago and will honeymoon in Argentina.
