Aggravated assault. Warren-based state police reported that at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday Troy Johnson, 48, and Glenn Johnson, 49, were at the residence of Ronald Platt, 47, Hog Haven Apt. #9, when an argument took place. Police said Platt, grabbed a wooden tire thumper that was approximately 19" long and struck Troy Johnson on the left side of the head, leaving an open wound and large bump on his head. Glenn Johnson received no visible wounds, however claimed that Platt pushed him while hitting Troy Johnson. Platt was arraigned in front of District Justice Gregory and remanded to the Warren County Jail on $50,000 bail. Police said Troy Johnson was taken to Warren General Hospital and treated for his injuries.

Accident. Warren-based state police responded at 8:05 a.m. on Thursday to a one-vehicle accident on Mickle Hill Rd., just east of Tubbs Rd. Police said the accident occurred as Brandy C. Bose, 25, Corry, was traveling east on Mickle Hill Rd. when she lost control of her vehicle on a curve and started to skid in a counterclockwise direction. Her vehicle left the lane of travel and hit the eastbound embankment and came to it's final rest in a ditch. Police said Bose was wearing her seatbelt and sustained minor injuries, but denied treatment. Police charged Bose with driving vehicle at safe speed.
Mead Twp.
Control of alarms. Warren-based state police cited Mead Township with failure to control alarm devices and automatic dialing devices at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday. Police said the township has permitted more than three false alarms in a 12-month period, which is in violation of Section CC 7511 of the Crimes Code of Pennsylvania. Charges were filed through District Justice Laura Bauer's office.
