The Youngsville wrestling team gave Strong Vincent its usual 18 points in forfeits Wednesday at Youngsville High School.
Every other point fell in the Eagles' favor.

No letting go
Youngsville’s Josh Lewis, right, keeps hold of the leg of Strong Vincent’s Brandon Jurkewicz during the 160-pound bout of Wednesday’s wrestling match at Youngsville High School. Lewis pinned Jurkewicz in the second period and the Eagles beat the Colonels, 63-18.
"I'm proud of the way these guys wrestled," said Youngsville coach Scott Ishman. "We knew we'd give them 18 points, but we wanted to win every other point in the match. And we were able to do that. It was a great win for our seniors."
Wednesday's match began at 138 pounds and the Colonels were immediately awarded a pair of forfeits and a 12-0 lead. At 152 pounds, the Eagles were able to get on the board, winning the first on-mat action of the night.
Youngsville's Zach Ishman and Strong Vincent's Dijor Deboe went the distance, but it was Ishman who came out on top with a 3-1 decision. It would be the only bout of the night to cover the entire six minutes.
Senior Josh Lewis followed with a second period pin of Strong Vincent's Brandon Jurkewicz at 160 pounds and Jeremy Lyon's 3:38 pin of Joshua Jones at 170 pounds gave Youngsville its first lead of the contest.
Sage Sivak's forfeit win for the Eagles at 182 pounds extended the advantage to 21-12, but a Youngsville forfeit at 195 pounds got the Colonels back within three at 21-18.
The final 42 points of the night were scored by the Eagles as the hosts won the next seven weight classes in succession.
Jaykup Durlin (220 pounds), Ryan McShane (106 pounds), Aaron Hoover (113 pounds) and Chester Ciukaj (120 pounds) all received free passes while Stephen Beattie (285 pounds), Chandler Flinn (126 pounds) and Hunter Proctor (132 pounds) all registered pins.
Flinn had the quickest pin, decking his opponent in just 27 seconds. Beattie pinned Maxx Swoger in 2:53 while Proctor pinned Donald Keys in 3:39.
Youngsville (5-8) is back in action Friday, hosting Sheffield.
