Bowling news
The Men's and Women's Bowling Associations of Warren County held a Mixed Doubles Tournament January 14-15 at Sheffield's Bowlaway Lanes. Jenny Olsen and Bob Olsen were the overall winners followed by Heather Wotorson and John Bower in second and Donna McDonald and John Hanson in third.
The fourth-place team was Ruth Moore and Gary Moore and fifth was shared by Pam Jameson and Ron Jameson and Lynn Olson and Bryan Olsen.

Sheffield Area High School graduate and Penn State DuBois senior women's basketball player Tessa Vargas scored 21 points and added six assists and three steals during a 87-78 overtime loss to Penn State Beaver on Tuesday. Vargas was 13-of-14 from the free throw line in the loss.
