Midway through the second quarter, the Eisenhower Lady Knights led the visiting Linesville Lions, 22-18.
Linesville would go on to finish the opening half on an 11-0 run and cruise to the finish line with a 63-32 victory.
"We turned the ball over three times in a row and a four-point lead turned into us being down two," said Ike coach Mike Logue. "We have to keep in mind, we are a very young team. We're going to look good at times, but also have times where we make mistakes. We just have to learn from those going forward."
Early in the game, the Knights were breaking Linesville's press and finishing after they did. That allowed the home team a four-point lead and a thought of an upset. The Lady Lions soon erased any hope of an upset, closing the game on a 45-10 run.
Alyssa Peterson led the Knights with nine points and Holly Chapman, Kari Santo and Kristen Williams all finished with six points.
No junior varsity game was played.
