NORTH EAST - Eisenhower improved to 6-6 overall and 4-3 in dual meets in Region 3 with a 52-10 rout of North East on Wednesday.
"Guys are starting to come around a little bit, and some of our guys are starting to pick it up a bit," said Eisenhower coach Kris Black, whose Knights led 29-0 after six weight classes.
Among those, Levi Stanko earned a major decision ay 132, Robbie Wilston a decision at 138 and Tim Lange a major at 145 in consecutive weight classes.
"Levi is getting better and better every match; he's getting more confident," said Black.
"Trevor (Spicer) wrestled pretty well (in a major at 182)," he said. "I think we are wrestling the best we have all year, starting to get guys back from injury. Jordan (Hefferman, who earned a decision at 195,) wrestled well tonight and helped our lineup out. We still have a lot of work to do, but I think we're right on track."
Steven Haner added a win by decision at 106 for Eisenhower.
"(Tournaments in) North East and Grove City (the next two weekends) will show us where we're at, especially some of ur guys who have high expectations for the post-season," said Black.
