Arrest. Pennsylvania State Constables reported arresting Codie A. Rugg, 19, 106 Holly Street, Warren, on January 17 at 11 a.m. at Warren Area High School on an arrest warrant for failure to appear - retail theft issued by District Justice Glenn Carlson. Rugg was sentenced to 13 days in jail to start February 23, 2012.
Brokenstraw Twp.
Retail theft. Warren-based State Police reported that an unknown individual operating 1990s white Dodge Intrepid stole $44.65 in gasoline without paying on January 17 at 4:11 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact the State Police or the Warren County Crimestoppers.
Conewango Twp.
Bad checks. Conewango Township Police reported that Heidi E. Kreckel, 302 Holly Street, Warren, passed a check on May 5, 2011 in the amount of 484.84 that came back not sufficient funds to Blue Ribbon Rentals. Kreckel is being charged with summary bad checks. Charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.

Loney, 5290 Brown Hill Road, Sugar Grove, passed a check in the amount of $149.91 that came back not sufficient funds to Blue Ribbon Rentals. Loney is being charged with summary bad checks. Baran, 745 Fiddler Hill Road, Youngsville, passed a check in the amount of $255.52 on September 30, 2011 and another in the amount of $433.59 on November 11 that came back not sufficient funds to Blue Ribbon Rentals. Baran is being charged with two counts misdemeanor bad checks. Charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.

Bellamy, 11 Rollins Street, Warren, passed a check in the amount of $460.52 on October 6, 2010, another check in the amount of $369.96 on January 18, 2011, and another check in the amount of $305.37 that were all returned not sufficient funds to Blue Ribbon Rentals. Bellamy is being charged with three misdemeanor counts of bad checks. Charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.

Mott, 124 North Main Street, Clarendon, passed a check in the amount of $330.27 on September 19, 2011 that came back not sufficient funds to Blue Ribbon Rentals. Fox is being charged with one misdemeanor count of bad checks. Charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.

Mourer, 830 Old Pittsfield Road, Pittsfield, passed a check in the amount of $208.32 on July 7, 2011 that came back not sufficient funds to Blue Ribbon Rentals. Mourer is being charged with one misdemeanor count of bad checks. Charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.
Crash. Warren-based State Police reported that an accident occurred on January 15 at 4:30 a.m. on Yankee Bush Road approximately 1/4 mile north of Route 6. Eric Stevenson, 28, Warren, was driving a 2008 Toyota Tundra north on Yankee Bush Road when he fell asleep while driving. Stevenson's vehicle traveled across the roadway off the south berm and down an embankment where the left side of the vehicle hit a tree. The vehicle came to rest against the tree with the front of the vehicle facing north. the vehicle was towed from the scene. Stevenson was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured but was charged with careless driving. Starbrick VFD assisted at the scene.
Harassment. Warren-based State Police reported that Christopher J. Beason allegedly subjected a known female Warren State Hospital employee to unwanted physical contact on January 18 at 6:15 a.m. The investigation continues.
Deerfield Twp.
Crash. Warren-based State Police reported an accident in Deerfield Township on Youngsville Road, west of Davey Hill Road, on January 16 at 7:57 p.m. Amy Mickelson, driving a 2006 Ford Fusion, was traveling south on Youngsville Road when she attempted to avoid collision with deer that were crossing the roadway. Mickelson maneuvered to avoid collision but began to slide. She corrected the steering wheel and attempted to apply her brakes but, instead, pressed the gas pedal. The vehicle left the roadway and traveled approximately 165 feet in the snow covered shoulder before making impact with a tree. The vehicle came to rest facing southwest on the he wooded shoulder of the roadway. Mickelson was uninjured. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Bob's Garage. Mickelson was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed.
Pine Grove Twp.
Crash. Warren-based State Police reported an accident in Pine Grove Township on Route 62 between Werner Drive and Shady Ridge on January 14 at 10:45 p.m. Cody A. Crosby, 20, Russell, driving a 2006 Toyota Tundra, was traveling north on 62 when he lost control on the snow covered roadway. The vehicle traveled off of the north bound berm where the left side of the vehicle made initial impact with an embankment. After impact, the vehicle traveled several feet rolling onto the passenger's side. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Russell Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene. Crosby was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed.
Pleasant Twp.
Crash. Warren-based State Police reported an accident at the intersection of Mohawk Avenue and Pleasant drive on January 17 at 7:15 p.m. A 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlas Ciera driven by an unnamed individual was traveling eastbound on Route 6, attempting to make a right hand turn onto Mohawk Avenue. The operator of the vehicle took a wide right turn, causing the vehicle to cross the center line and enter the southbound lane of Mohawk Avenue. A second vehicle, a 2009 Nissan Murano, was traveling north on Mohawk Avenue, slowing to stop at the light at its intersection with Route 6 when the Oldsmobile entered its driving lane and struck the Nissan from front end to tail end. The operator of the Nissan was uninjured. The operator of the Oldsmobile fled the scene shortly after the arrival of law enforcement. That individual was taken into custody for DUI and was also charted with driving on right side of roadway.
Youngsville
Arrest. Pennsylvania State Constables reported arresting Shawn D. Dibble, 29, 131 Marsh Avenue, on January 18 at 2:30 p.m. on an arrest warrant for driving while suspended and driving an unregistered vehicle issued by District Justice Glenn Carlson. Dibble was taken before District Justice Glenn Carlson and paid fines and costs.
