Tough to say who has bragging rights at the Fehlman house. Warren frosh D.J. Fehlman had the toughest tournament of his young varsity wrestling career over the weekend. He was 4-1 and third at the 33rd Annual Tool City Tournament. After a 2-0 start, he faced George DiCamillo of St. Ignatius (Ohio) in the semis. DiCamillo, Amateur Wrestling News' top 120-pounder in the country, beat Fehlman by a 20-3 third-period tech. fall. But Fehlman was the only wrestler DiCamillo didn't pin (if any consolation). Fehlman bounced back to win twice more, including a 9-2 decision in the third-place match over District 10 second-ranked Coleman Cousins of McDowell. Tough to wrestle Athlete of the Week away from big sister, Mandy, however. Warren sophomore Mandy Fehlman had her best swim meet yet, qualifying for districts in the 50 free and 500 free by winning the 50 and 400 free against Central Tech - with her best times of the season. She was part of two winning and D10-qualifying relays, too (4-for-4 in all). D.J. and Mandy Fehlman are the Times Observer Athletes of the Week, sponsored by McDonald's.
