Warren's wrestlers picked up four wins via pin, in addition to five forfeits, en route to a 54-23 Region 4 win over Strong Vincent on Wednesday at Warren Area High School.

Jonah Hordusky (132) and Mike Card (138) both picked up pins to start things off for the Dragons (5-6 overall and 2-4 in region). The Colonels (1-10, 0-6) then made things interesting by gaining major decision victories at 145 and 152 pounds, but senior Steven Kibbey got a quick pin at 160, having moved up two weight classes, to widen the gap for Warren.

"Kibbey was most impressive tonight," said Warren coach Glenn Baldensperger. "He bumped up to 160 and stuck it to that kid on Senior Night."

The match of the night was at 170 pounds; Warren's Cody Gunn squared off against Vincent's Cacio Marreiro. Gunn looked to have the match won, leading 6-4 with 20 seconds to go, but Marreiro was able to get a takedown to send the match to overtime. Marreiro shot quickly in the OT to get a takedown and secure an 8-6 decision.

Chris McNeal came back with a quick pin for Warren at 182. Vincent answered with a pin at 195 before Warren picked up its first forfeit of the night at 220. Vincent won the heavyweight bout with a pin, but Warren won the next four weight classes via forfeit.

"We had a couple of guys under the weather and not at 100 percent tonight," Baldensperger said. "Jonah and McNeal were both real strong for us."

The Dragons will have a week to rest before traveling to Titusville - sitting in fourth place in the region at 3-2 through Tuesday - next Wednesday night.
