Youth wrestling

Representing Warren, Jimmy Kramer was first in the 9-10-year-old, 70-pound division at Saturday's Kane Youth Tournament - with 286 wrestlers competing - at Kane Area High School. Also for Warren, Alexander Anderson was second at 9-10, 70; Billy Anderson third at 8 & Under, 90; Carter Borland third at 9-10, 125; Austyn Cummings third at 11-12, 120, and; Owen Balas third at 11-12, 80.

Representing Youngsville there, Aaron Morris was second at the 11-12-year-old, 95-pound bracket, and Brandon Victor third in the 11-12, 65 division.

College news

Warren Area High School graduate Hollie Rapp had a career day for Pitt-Bradford on Sunday in a 70-65 win over Pitt-Greensburg in Greensburg. Rapp finished 12-of-22 shooting from the floor, and 4-of-5 from the line, for a career-high 28 points. She also pulled down a personal-best 15 rebounds to notch her fifth career double-double.

Rapp's jumper sparked a 12-3 Pitt-Bradford run in a 32-21 first half.

Division III Pitt-Bradford improves to 5-8 overall and 3-3 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

In a 66-60 loss to host Penn State Altoona on Saturday, Rapp finished with 18 points and seven rebounds.
