WCCS drops boys hoops opener

Warren County Christian's boys basketball team had a tough start on Friday in a 56-38 loss to Christian Life Academy.

Playing with a small roster, the Lions opened against a team playing its third game and trailed53-20 after three quarters before an 18-3 third quarter made it closer.

Josh Carpenter finished with 14 points and Carson More had 13 points, eight rebounds and seven steals for WCCS (0-1), which committed 28 turnovers.

"We have a lot of things to work on," said WCCS coach Steve Zwald.

Carpenter and Andrew Laird had four steals each for WCCS.
