Ned and Dottie (Whitton) Zaffino celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 30, 2011.
The couple was honored at a reception held at Hidden Valley Campground on Aug. 14, 2011. The event was hosted by their children and their spouses, Jay Zaffino and wife Penny of Texas, Tim Zaffino and wife Angel of Tennessee, Tammy Swanson and husband Jim of Warren, and Joy Ray and husband Tom of Michigan. Nearly 150 relatives and friends were present to help celebrate their milestone anniversary.
Ned and Dottie were married at St. Joseph Church in Warren on Sept. 30, 1961. The Rev. Fr. Rocco Tido performed the ceremony.
