John and Sheryl Armstrong, Torpedo, are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Julissa Armstrong, to Ryan Snell. Ryan is the son of Tina Trauterman of Oil City and Paul Snell of Pittsfield.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Youngsville High School and a 2009 graduate from Mercyhurst College where she earned a bachelor of science degree in forensic science. She received a master of science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011, also in forensic science. She is currently a forensic services technician in Virginia Beach, Va.
Ryan is a graduate of Youngsville High School and a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University where he majored in mechanical engineering. He received a master of science degree in mechanical and nuclear engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010 and is currently working as an engineer for the United States Navy.
