The following is a list of upcoming local entertainment events. The Times Observer welcomes additions to the list that are of community interest. Club meetings and closed gatherings are not included. To add an event, call features editor Diana Paddock in the newsroom at 723-8200 by noon Monday.

Every Monday through Dec. 5: Toddler Time, Mondays, 10:30 a.m. in Warren Public Library Children's Department. Stories, songs, crafts, creative play.

Through Oct. 22: "Gifts of a Tormented Soul," paintings by Diane DeLarme, Wetmore Gallery, Warren Public Library, regular library hours.

Through Oct. 23: Warren Art League Show, "Eclectic Visions," Crary Art Gallery, 511 Market St., Warren; opening reception, Oct. 8, 6-8 p.m. (gallery hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday and Saturday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, and noon-4 p.m. Sunday)

Oct. 13: One County for Education hosts town hall style debate for northern region school board candidates, Russell Elementary School, 7 p.m.

Oct. 13-15: Annual Warren Public Library Book Sale, 10 a.m.-7:45 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m.-4:45 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. -3 p.m. Saturday

Oct. 14-15: Wiltsie Church Ladies Aid Sale at Warren Mall, rag rugs, scrubbies, baked goods, hand-crafted items and more, in front of Goodwill, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

Oct. 14-23: Haunted Museum, Wilder Museum, 51 Erie Ave., Irvine, 6-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday (Oct. 14, 15, 21 and 22) and 4-6 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 23).

Oct. 14-29: Haunted Halloween Hay Rides, Double Rainbow Farm, 2170 Thompson Hill Rd., Russell, 6-10 p.m. each Friday and Saturday (757-9158).

Oct. 15: Chicken Barbecue, Garland Presbyterian Church, Rt. 27, Garland, noon-sold out.

Oct. 15: Spooktacular Stories, 11:30 a.m., Children's Department, Warren Public Library. Raggedy Ann hosts Halloween stories, songs, craft. Aimed at ages 4-8 but all are welcome. Children ice their own cupcakes. Adults and children may dress in costume. Preregister by calling children's staff at 723-4650.

Oct. 15: Scandia Mountain Pumpkin Festival food, crafts, music and more at the Scandia Fire Hall, 8 a.m.-7 p.m.

Oct. 16: Annual Luck Shoot, Sugar Grove American Legion, age 12 and older eligible to shoot for turkeys, hams, steaks and pies, noon-5 p.m.

Oct. 18: Warren Public Library Classic Jazz with Chase Putnam, Slater Room, 6-8 p.m.

Oct. 20: Houghton PACE Adult Degree Completion Program Information Session, Hi-Ed, 6 p.m. (723-3222).

Oct. 21: Author Tawni O'Dell will speak at the Warren Public Library at 7 p.m. in the Slater Room.

Oct. 22: 17th Annual Sauerkraut Dinner, St. John's Lutheran Church, 200 Pleasant Dr., Warren, 4-7 p.m. (cost is a donation).

Oct. 22: Turkey Party, Clarendon Fire Hall, doors open, 6 p.m., free refreshments.

Oct. 22: Yankee Bush Productions presents a "Tribute to Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers" by Full Moon Fever, Struthers Library Theatre, Warren, 8 p.m. (489-3110).

Oct. 22: Sheffield Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary Craft Show, fire hall, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Oct. 26: BC3 Open House recruiting for online degree programs, Hi-Ed, 4-6 p.m. (723-3222).

Oct. 27: Game Night for teens/tweens (ages 10-18). Students join other gaming enthusiasts in the Slater Room in the Warren Public Library to use the library's laptops, Nintendo Wii, GameCube, Guitar Hero and various other games from 3:30 to 7 p.m.

Oct. 27-28: Books Are Fun Sale sponsored by the WGH Auxiliary, Outpatient Lobby, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; benefits WGH Auxiliary projects.

Oct. 27-30: Warren Players presents "Phantom," Library Theatre, 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday.

Oct. 28: Senior Expo sponsored by Warren-Forest Eldercare Council, Warren Mall, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Oct. 28: YMCA Silver Sneakers demo (10-10:30 a.m.); and YMCA?Silver Sneakers yoga (10:45-11:15 a.m.), both free to anyone willing to try, instructor Irene Garrison, at Warren Mall in conjunction with Senior Expo.

Oct. 28-29: Third Annual Halloween Walk sponsored by Glade Volunteer Fire Department, Hatch Run Road across from Photo License Center (up from Warren Mall), dusk until 11 p.m.

Oct. 29: Non-alcohol Family Turkey Part, Pomona Building, Warren County Fairgrounds, Pittsfield, doors open, 6 p.m.; games start, 7 p.m.

Oct. 30: Community Halloween Party. Warren County YMCA, 6:30-8:30: Trick-or-Treating. Movie Showing in West Gym. Party in East Gym.

Oct. 31-Dec. 9: "Embracing Pennsylvania," works by Julie Mader, Wetmore Gallery, Warren Public Library, regular library hours.
