Joey Mack, 8, of Youngsville got his family's hunting season off to a good start by getting this doe at 3 p.m. on Oct. 1 using his Parker Crossbow and a doe tag transfer from his father. 2011 is the first year that mentored hunters under 12 can harvest an anterless deer.
