Chapman State Park will have a fall festival Oct. 7-9. Activities will include "Geo-Caching at Night" from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday. Participants should meet at the amphitheater.
On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the festival will include apple cider and donut making at the beach building, an historical display, garbage can corn and a pumpkin decorating contest with judging beginning at 1 p.m. A program on wild mushrooms will be presented at the amphitheater from 2 to 4 p.m.
A Chapman canoe tour will be held Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. beginning at the mooring area. Pre-registration is required as canoes are limited. Registrations can be made by calling the park office at 723-0250 by Saturday, Oct. 8. Join us for a fun filled weekend as we celebrate the fall festival of leaves. All activities are free and open to the public.
