Eisenhower finished among the top four of 12 teams at Saturday's Sheffield Volleyball Tournament at Sheffield High School.
Eisenhower and Youngsville both advanced from two different pools to the eight-team playoffs before the Knights eliminated the Eagles, 21-17, in a one-game playoff in the quarterfinals.
"Both teams played well in that game," said Youngsville coach Terry Schrader. "One or two mistakes is sometimes the difference in the game. We played much better than when we played better, but we made a couple mistakes.... It looked like we took a couple strides forward in this tournament."

Eisenhower coach Tom Firth said serving was the key in several games in the Knights' run.
"We played 15 games and we won eight of them, but one game someone would step up and do well," said Eisenhower coach Tom Firth. "We did not have a lot of service errors, and that's important. If you're serving poorly, you can be out of it real quick."
Eisenhower fell, 9-15 and 12-15, to Elk County Catholic in the semifinals. Cranberry and Port Allegany advanced to the other semi.
For Youngsville, Amber Fox led the team in assists with 42, Savanna Schoedel had 15 kills and 17 service points, Arielle Klark 12 kills and 20 points, and Abby McLaughlin 10 kills.
Judi Lewis had 16 points for Youngsville, including 10 service points in one game - a win over Oswayo Valley - that advanced Youngsville to the eight-team playoffs.
Sheffield and Tidioute Charter also competed at the tournament.
In 12 games, TCCS won four. Loralee Lindemuth had nine kills and five blocks, Lacy Wolford had 18 digs and five acess, and Anna Lindemuth and Michaela Mohrey had a paid of nice blocks each.
