SENECA - Warren County Christian School's volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season, 24-26, 21-25 and 16-25, on Friday at undefeated Christian Life Academy.
"It was a good match," said WCCS coach Monica Kerr, whose Lady Lions are 5-1 overall.
The good news, WCCS gets CLA (4-0) again in less than two weeks for the top spot in the New Penn Christian Conference.
Christina Girard had 17 assists and three kills in the loss, Jessica Lauffenburger seven kills and Karissa Messinger six service points.
WCCS won the JV match, 25-11, 25-9. Messinger had 15 points and two kills and Kate Erdman seven points in the win.

Kane 3, Sheffield 0
Sheffield fell in three games to Kane, 7-25, 15-25, 22-25, on Thursday.
Juli Ely had five blocks and four kills for Sheffield. Erica Boutelle had three kills, Hannah Vvile six points and eight assists and Justine Barr 11 digs.
Sheffield's J.V. won, 25-11, 15-25, 15-11.
