VOLLEYBALL: WCCS wins opening match

August 27, 2011
The Times Observer

Warren County Christian School's volleyball team got off to a good start on Friday with a 3-0 sweep of visiting Erie Bethel.

"A lot of them are in the same spots they were (last year), which really helped," said WCCS first-year coach Monica Kerr, whose Lions won 25-11, 25-11 and 25-12 at WCCS. "It was a really strong team effort. They really supported each other and played well together."

Dymphee Zortman had 12 service points and five kills, Alyssa Kerr 12 points and two kills, Kaitlin Weidner four kills, and Christina Girard 16 assists.
