Richard and Connie Coon of 30 Drumcliffe Dr., Warren, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 8, 2011, with family and friends at Warren Holiday Inn. The celebration was hosted by their children.
Richard Coon and the former Connie Hartman were united in marriage June 30, 1961, at United Church of Christ in Rimersburg, Pa.
In January, Richard and Connie celebrated their anniversary with a Caribbean cruise - a gift given to them by their children.

The couple has three children: Amy de Souza of Irvine, Calif.; David Coon of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and Lesley (Mark) Butina of Warren. Richard and Connie are also the grandparents to four granddaughters: Lauren, Megan and Brooke Butina of Warren and Isabel Grace de Souza of Irvine, Calif.
