Concert Saturday

Rick Magee & the Roadhouse Rockers will be rockin' and rollin' at the Struthers Library Theatre, Warren, beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. They will wind up the Boonies International Film Festival with a bang. Rick Magee, two-time top finalist in the "Jimi Hendrix" electric guitar competition, with bassist Big Dave Brunn, and drummer Bill "Gypsy" Craciun have performed with many greats including Marshall Tucker, The Charlie Daniels Band, Eddie Money, Nazareth, Molly Hatchet, Jackyl, The Outlaws, Mitch Ryder and more. Seats are reserved, and tickets will be available at the door , or charge tickets by phone at 489-3110.

Dinner served

at Betts Park

Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark St., will have its monthly dinner at Betts Park at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug.24. Music will be provided by the Ron Carrington Band. Participants must have reservations by Aug 23; call 723-4180 or 723-3237. No membership is necessary.

Win 4-H fair

The Warren County 4-H Horse Program offered seven baskets for auction at the 4-H Center during the Warren County Fair. The funds raised support yearly 4-H horse programs and fees including Camp Giddy-Up-Go. Winners of the baskets include: Beth Reed - car care basket; Archie Brittian - craft basket; Howard Brush - family fun basket; Joan Moore - feather friends basket; Jon Hackman - horse basket; Betty Sanford - kitchen basket; and Rose Fileger - veterinary care basket. The 4-H program is a youth development program of Penn State Cooperative Extension. It is open to all youth between the ages of 8 and 19.
