Bucktail reunion
The 18th annual "Bucktail Reunion" will be held Aug. 5-7 in Old Driftwood, Pa. With this year being the 150th anniversary of the original "Bucktails" departing to war down the Sinnamahoning Branch, member of Co. K, 1st Rifle Regiment, invites the public to this special event at town park. The camp will open to the public at 10 a.m. on Aug. 6,and a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 7 at the Driftwood Bucktail Monument. ALS benefit planned
Jamestown Savings Bank Arena will host a benefit for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) Awareness on Aug. 7. The day will include a chicken barbecue, Chinese auction, live music starting at noon featuring Smackdab, Cindy Haight, Days of Old, NOTIXX and doodle. There will be a celebrity hockey game featuring Stanley Cup winner Kevyn Adams and Ironmen head coach Dan Daikawa with a faceoff at 7 p.m. Cost will be $10 per person.
