Grid meeting
The Youngsville High School football program will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the high school football field. All interested players and parents of players are requested to attend.
Hoops meeting
The Youngsville junior high girls basketball team will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the YHS gymnasium. The meeting is for all parents of junior high girls basketball players in grades 7-8. Finances for the upcoming season will be discussed at this meeting. For more information, contact coach Tony Richards at 779-9753.
Golf results
The team of Bart & Tammy Jensen and Jack & Nancy Shattuck won a Couples Scramble Tournament Friday at Conewango Valley Country Club with a score of 20.9. The team of John & Pat Carlson and Bob & Judy McGinn was second with 21.2 points and the team of Ashton & Linda Ditka and George & Kim Carlson was third with 21.5 points.

The team of Randy Mineweaser and Matt Davis won the 1-day Member-Guest Tournament held Friday at Jackson Valley Golf Club with a score of 53. Mark Silvis and Jeff McClement were second with a 56, Jacoby Curtis and Jerry Morley were third with a 57, Casey Moyer and Daryl McTavish were fourth with a 58 and Steve Phillips and Chet Munksgard and Kyle McClement and Richie Lawson shared fifth with identical scores of 60.

The team of Phil Cammarata Jr. and Sam Galbato won a Weakest Link Tournament Saturday at Conewango Valley Country Club with a score of 130. The teams of Dennis Boron and Mike Barber and Mike McElrath and Dan Matey shared second place with scores of 131.

Jim Terrill had low gross of 37 and Denny Davis and Art Cagle shared low net of 31 in Cable Hollow Senior Men's Golf League play Friday at Cable Hollow Golf Club. Ralph Gallo and John Larson were high point takers with nine and Dave Guiffre, Bob Orbanic, Gallo, Cliff Jenkins and Hank Mole shared most pars with five each.
Terrill had four birdies during play and Bob Buerkle, Ken Miller, Chuck Roberts, Gary Peterson, Bill Martin, Mark Bevevino, Bob Yucha, Gene Keppel and Harold Johnson had one each. Here are the team standings through Friday's round:

Hole in one
Dick Kimball Jr. recorded his third career hole-in-one Saturday at Conewango Valley Country Club. His ace came on the second hole at CVCC, measuring 160 yards. Kimball Jr. used a 4 hybrid club for his ace which was witnessed by Tom Michel, Rick Sotir and Joe Hedman.
Oldtimers
The Jamestown Oldtimers baseball club split a Saturday doubleheader with Hubbard, Ohio at Diethrick Park. In game one, Jamestown gave up a costly six runs in the fifth inning and couldn't recover in a 10-4 loss. Don Watts doubled in defeat.
In game two, Jamestown banged out 18 hits in an 18-3 victory over the visitors. Rick Eaton led the offensive attack with two doubles and a triple and Ron Thomas finished with three hits. Larry Persing, Dave Matz, Ted Morrison and Winston Woodard all finished with two hits and Eaton was the winning pitcher, striking out five batters.
The Oldtimers host a Buffalo MSBL team in a non-league doubleheader on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. The team returns to league play at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 6 and 10 a.m. Sunday, August 7, hosting the Youngstown Astro Falcons.
