Ride for Roswell
A group of local cyclists recently traveled to Buffalo, N.Y., and participated in the Ride for Roswell, supporting cancer research at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Riding courses from 33 to 62 1/2 miles, Team Warren collectively raised $3,400. Team Warren members include, front row, from left, Cathy Bertch, Sandy Wilks and Bill Dawes and, back row, John Brodfuehrer, Todd Randolf, Sabrina Piaschyk, Martha Donnelly, Diana Flickner, Jeff Flickner, Kathie White and Steve Siliano.

Softball tourney
The 19th Annual Michael J. Kolos Memorial Humane Society Softball Tournament will be held August 5-7 at Betts Park. For information, visit www.warrenhumanesociety.org or call 726-1961. The tournament benefits the homeless animals in Warren County. All team rosters must be received by Monday, August 1. Teams won't be added after that time.
Golf results
Bart Jensen and Steve Puleo were the low gross winners with 34 on Monday in the Conewango Valley Country Club Monday Scratch League.

Marti Ruhlman outdueled Andy Hanks in Jackson Valley Country Club's Match Play Championship, which began in May and ended on Sunday. Semifinalists were Skete Williams and Denny Holcomb.
