Corry wins scholastic trap championship

Corry wrapped up the 2011 Warren County Scholastic Trap League championship on Tuesday with a victory over Sheffield.

Corry has clinched the league title with its 11 points - three better than Sheffield and Youngsville who share second place with eight.

Corry's victory on Tuesday was a 170-156 triumph over the Wolverines. Tucker Corbett, Kelsie Ellsworth and Dillen Miller all had perfect scores of 25 for the Beavers while Sheffield was paced by the perfect 25 of Erica Boutelle.

In other action, Warren Blue nipped Youngsville, 157-155, and Eisenhower topped Warren White, 161-154. Tidioute shot a score of 117 on its bye week.

Warren Blue was led by Michael McDunn who finished with a 24 and Youngsville got a perfect 25 from Sawyer Dininny. Eisenhower got 24's from Jon Shelton, Zach Johnson and Ethan Black while Warren White's high mark was perfect scores by Drew Lobdell and Jake Park. Tidioute's high shooter was Jacob Moore with a 21.
