PFC Jesse R. Jones, who was deployed to Andar, Afghanistan, on Jan. 7, also is the grandson of Charles Smith of Garland and the great-grandson of Opal Smith of Youngsville. Their names were not included in service news that was published in Wednesday's Times Observer.
