Artist Judy Schrader of Cherry Grove has had a painting chosen to be on the cover of the JAVMA, (Journal of American Veterinary Medical Association). She was commissioned to do a painting of a timber rattlesnake by Mike Stimmell of Pleasant Township.

Marri Benney of the JAVMA saw the photo of the snake painting on Schrader's website and asked if they could use the painting on the magazine cover. The magazine plans to run an article on rattlesnakes and horses and thought the snake would be a good painting for the cover of their March 1 journal. The edition also will include an article about Schrader and her paintings.

Her work can be seen at www.judyaschrader.com.
