The Northern Allegheny Conservation Association (NACA) is offering S. Knox Harper Grants for environmental educators. These grants are in memory of founding member and dedicated conservationist S. Knox Harper. Grants have funded such projects as a classroom aquaculture/hydropnics system, Purple Martin houses, bird books and binoculars, bat studies, butterfly gardens, construciton of an outdoor educaitonal pavilion and many others.
NACA invites schools and other organizations to submit grant proposals for their conservation or environmental education projects. Send a detailed description of each project and the money needed to NACA, PO Box 661, Warren, PA 16365. Questions can be directed to Chuck Conaway, NACA President, at 726-2424. Proposals are due by March 15. The NACA board will then allocate funds available and notify the winners by April 15.
