Open House
There will be an Open House for the new Youngsville Borough Building on Friday, Feb. 18, from 1 to 6 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 1 p.m. with refreshments and tours of the building to follow. Mayor Farr and Borough Council encourage everyone to attend.

Closing, garbage
pickup dates
Youngsville Borough Offices and services will be closed Monday, Feb. 21. in observance of Presidents' Day. Mondays' garbage pickup will be Tuesday, Feb. 22. Tuesdays' garbage pickup will be Wednesday, Feb. 23.
Benefit for Tabers
A benefit chicken and biscuit dinner will be held at the Garland Fire Hall Saturday, Feb. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. or until sold out. The dinner will include homemade chicken and biscuits, vegetable, dessert and a beverage. The cost for the dinner is a donation. Carry-outs will also be available. All proceeds from the benefit will go to the John and Judy Taber family to help defer medical costs. Everyone in the area is encouraged to come out for a good meal and to support the Taber Family.
Chinese auction
The youth of Saron Lutheran Church are sponsoring a Chinese Auction to raise funds for their Christmas gift giving through the Salvation Army. Local businesses and individuals are being contacted for donations. The deadline for donations for the auction is Feb. 27. The auction drawing will be held on Sunday, March 27, followed by a spaghetti dinner at the Saron Lutheran Church from 4:30 to 6 p.m. This dinner is open to the public and the cost is a donation. If you have questions regarding the auction, please contact Carrie at 563-7881 or Kelly at 563-9689. Your support is needed and appreciated.
Luncheon and
entertainment
The Saron Lutheran Church had their soup and pie luncheon on Monday, Feb. 14. Helga Laibacher, church member, said, "The luncheon had a nice turnout and the Barbershopper quartet pleasantly surprised the folks at with a few Valentine songs."
