This one was over quick.
Warren County Christian School built an early 18-2 lead and cruised to the .500 mark with a 52-30 victory over French Creek Valley Christian Friday at WCCS.
"We played everybody and got some guys a lot of playing time," said WCCS coach Steve Zwald. "Last night was a very intense and close game, but tonight we were able to win fairly easily."
Andrew Hammersley led a balanced WCCS effort with 15 points. Carson Moore and Tim Hungerford joined Hammersley in double figures with 11 points each.
Hammersley added 11 rebounds, Andrew Laird seven steals and five boards and Moore four steals and six rebounds.
The Lions earned a victory in the junior varsity game, 26-15. Jamie Petrush and Josiah Poindexter scored eight points each in the win.
WCCS (5-5) is back in action Monday, hosting Tidioute Charter.

Saegertown 61, Youngsville 25
SAEGERTOWN - Youngsville couldn't stop the Saegertown Panthers from earning win number one.
The homestanding Panthers jumped out to a big lead early and cruised to a 61-25 victory over the Eagles Friday at Saegertown High School.
Youngsville struggled from the opening tip and couldn't challenge for its second victory of the season. Poor shooting haunted the effort as Youngsville fell behind by double digits early in the second quarter and never recovered.
The team's high scorer, Nathan Smith, was held in check, finishing with eight points. Jeremy Clark added seven points, Billy Chuzie four and Broc Horn three points.
Youngsville (1-13) hosts Cambridge Springs on Tuesday.
No junior varsity information was provided to the Times Observer.

He had 33 against Tidioute recently, 31 against Youngsville and now 29 against Eisenhower on Friday in a 74-46 Region 3 win for Conneaut Valley.
Eisenhower is 1-1 in the region.
"We fought hard, but we didn't play good defense," said Ike coach Steve Norris, whose Knights are 4-9 overall. "They must have scored on fast breaks 10 times tonight."
Josh Deppas led Ike with 13 points.

ERIE - You could hear the excitement in Tidioute Charter coach Dave Manning's voice.
His team is heading in the right direction.
The Bulldogs played their strongest game to date Friday, dropping a 54-48 decision to Erie First Christian.
"Everything worked well and the kids played a nice game," said Manning. "If we had a couple of more shots fall, we could've won this game. We just came up short, but we're going in the right direction."
Matt Brown had a monster game for the Bulldogs, finishing with 17 points and 18 rebounds. Shaun Sitterley's 15-point effort was highlighted by another eight assists.
Tidioute will continue trying for its win first win Monday when it visits Warren County Christian School.
TCCS also was a close loser in the junior varsity game, 26-23. Kendrick Morrison led the Bulldogs with nine.
