Chef Career

Sugar Grove Elementary School's sixth grade class is often visited by local business individuals to discuss their future in fun and exciting careers. This week, Justin Tech, executive chef and food service director for the Warren County School District, spoke to the students on a career as an executive chef.

Business people tell the students about their duties and responsibilities, educational needed, earnings, and entry level positions in their field of work. Students learn what personalities are best suited for certain jobs and many of the surprises, likes, and dislikes of working in various fields of employment. Students asked questions on the different levels of working in the food industry from begin a dishwasher up to a certified culinarian.
