Quarterly birthday celebration
Tidioute Senior Center recently celebrated the birthdays of Doris White, Pat Sveda, Vicky McLaughlin, Helen Perry, Ruth Gerus and Hazel Ord.
The First Presbyterian Church is having a "Flap Jack" Smack'em Nite on Saturday, Jan. 29, from 4 to 7p.m.
Cost is $5 per person and includes pancakes, sausage, applesauce, juice and hot beverages.
Circle this date on your calendar, bring a friend along and join them for "Flap Jacks".
Watson Grange
The annual dues paying and quarterly birthday dinner was held at the home of Orren Wood and Betty Berry.
Those celebrating birthdays during this quarter were Deanna Hollabaugh, Orren Wood, Bob and Jean Hollabaugh.
Beaded ornaments were the project for the first Craft Night with another one to be held on Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. at the VanOrds' residents. The project will be plastic canvas ornaments.
These ornaments will be judged at the fair in August.
Suggested planning for a Community Service Award and Membership Awards night for the spring.
The Grange hall has been winterized and will be reopened on April 4.
Committee members to work on the exhibit for the fair is Amanda Burris, Matt and Miranda Irons.
Alice Weaver was reported not feeling well and an update was received on Bill Wilcox.
Upcoming events: Hayride on Jan. 22 at the VanOrds. Junior Grange will meet at the VanOrds on Jan. 24.
Craft Night on Jan. 27 at VanOrds at 6 p.m. PA State Grange Planning Meeting on Jan. 28-29 in State College and the Watson Grange meeting will be held on Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Alice Weaver with something red for refreshments.
Fifth Grade Entertains
Members of the fifth grade class at Tidioute Community Charter School will be at the Tidioute Senior Center on Monday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. to sing some holiday songs.
They were unable to have their program when originally scheduled due to the weather, so make sure to attend this program and stay for lunch.

Super Soup Sales
Tidioute First United Methodist Church will be holding its annual Super Bowl Soup Sales on Sunday, Feb. 6, starting at noon until sold out.

Senior Center Menu
Thursday, Jan.20 will be hot turkey sandwiches, mashed potatoes and gravy.
Monday, Jan. 24 will be soup, sandwich, and dessert.
Tuesday, Jan. 25 will be meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, vegetable and dessert.
Thursday, Jan. 27 will be ham, scalloped potatoes, vegetable and dessert.
Call the center to sign up for any or all of these days at 484-3020. Lunch is served at noon.
Quarterly Birthdays
Members of the Tidioute Senior Center held their quarterly birthday celebration for October, November and December.
Those having birthdays this quarter were Pat Sveda, Vicky McLaughlin, Ruth Gerus, Hazel Ord, Doris White and Helen Perry.
Along with the traditional birthday dinner those attending were served birthday cake and ice cream.
Wednesday Bingo
Every Wednesday night is bingo at the Tidioute Firehall.
Doors open at 5 p.m.; early bird games at 6 p.m. and regular bingo begins at 7 p.m.
