That 7-0 start seems like a long time ago for the Warren Lady Dragons.
The youthful team suffered its fourth straight defeat on Monday, dropping a hard-fought 40-34 decision to the General McLane Lancers at Warren Area High School.
The game was close throughout with the Lady Dragons trailing by a single point after the first quarter, but rebounding for a one-point edge at intermission.
The Lady Lancers tied the game after three quarters, but the visitors pulled away down the stretch for the six-point victory.
Jaimie Eaton had a strong game for the Dragons, finishing with 14 points. Emily Sherman chipped in eight points and Kristin Hultquist scored five.
"We are really struggling right now and just can't put the ball in the basket," said Warren coach Lisa Ruhlman. "We played well defensively - good enough to win if we make a few shots."

Hickory 47, Eisenhower 13
HERMITAGE - Eisenhower's offense never arrived in a 47-13 loss to Hickory on Monday.
The Lady Hornets used a strong second quarter to build an 18-point halftime edge and never looked back, sending the Knights to 4-6 overall on the campaign.
"This was a real good team (we played)," said Eisenhower coach Dave Allenson. "I thought our defense was really pretty good. We contested every first shot, but gave up too many second shots."
The Lady Knights were paced by Alli Blanco's six points.
Hickory also won the junior varsity game, 50-14. Brooke Stanton scored five points in defeat.
Eisenhower hosts Tidioute Charter on Wednesday.

East Forest 47, Sheffield 30
Kristie Steffan's 19-point performance wasn't enough to get Sheffield a victory during a 47-30 loss to East Forest on Monday.
"Kristie has really played outstanding these last couple of games," said Sheffield coach Mike Bancroft. "She's playing with a lot of heart and getting a lot of good things done."
Steffan has been a bright spot for the Lady Wolverines during a season that has seen them drop 11 out of 12 contests.
On Monday, Hannah Vile and Abby Labesky also helped the Sheffield effort with four points each.
In the junior varsity contest, East Forest was a 31-10 winner. Labesky scored four points to lead the Lady Wolverines.
