BROCKWAY - "When we start putting a complete four quarters in, we're going to start winning some games."
Those were the words of Sheffield coach Mike Bancroft after his team's 44-36 loss to Brockway Friday at Brockway Area High School.
Sheffield has played well in spurts this season, but has seen victory allude them in several close contests. Many of those close losses are caused by one stretch of the game where the Lady Wolverines struggle to score points.

Friday was no different.
Sheffield trailed by four after one quarter, but was shut out in the second quarter as Brockway built a 21-10 halftime lead. While the Wolverines outscored the Rovers in the second half, the tough second quarter was too much to overcome.
Kristie Steffan had another solid game for Sheffield, scoring a team-high 14 points. Ashley Davidson finished with 10 points and Julie Ely chipped in eight points.
Brockway also won the junior varsity game, 22-16. Kerrin Swartz scored nine points in defeat.

Erie Bethel 26, WCCS 14
Warren County Christian School went ice cold in the fourth quarter Friday, crushing any chance of a victory during a 26-14 outcome at WCCS.
For the opening three quarters, both the Lady Lions and Lady Warriors played an extremely competitive contest. The teams were tied at 4-4 after one quarter and 8-8 at halftime. Even when Erie Bethel pulled ahead in the third quarter, it still held only a one-point edge at 15-14.
The final stanza was a disaster for WCCS (0-6).
The Lady Lions were unable to net a single point over the final eight minutes as Erie Bethel added 11 points to its total to put the game away.
Three players - Aubree Hendrickson, Christina Girard and Alyssa Kerr - each scored four points to pace the Lady Lions. Alyssa Stoddard was the only other WCCS player to score.
The Lady Lions visit Erie First Christian on Thursday.
