Steve Zwald's team showed up Thursday.
The Lions got 22 points from Andrew Hammersley and another 13 points from Tim Hungerford, defeating Community Country Day, 46-27, Thursday at WCCS.
"This was one of the best team games we've played all season," said WCCS coach Steve Zwald. "We contested everything. We played great defense and were extremely solid on the boards."
Hammersley had 14 rebounds, three assists and three blocks to go with his season-high point total. Hungerford's night was a career best. Carson Moore also had a nice game for WCCS, contributing seven points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
The Lions (2-4) will look to win another outing Friday when they host Erie Bethel in both boys and girls competition.

SENECA - It was another rough night offensively for the winless Tidioute Charter Bulldogs.
Christian Life Academy held the Bulldogs to just 17 points in a 45-17 decision on Thursday.
The first half saw Tidioute score just 12 points and things went downhill from there as TCCS scored just five additional points in the second 16 minutes.
Matt Brown scored eight points in the loss while Calvin Marsh chipped in four more markers.
In the junior varsity contest, CLA was an 18-16 victor. Cody Mohrey scored five points to pace the Bulldogs.
TCCS (0-9) returns to the court Monday, visiting Conneaut Valley.
