The Struthers Library Theatre kicks-off 2011 with the extraordinary!

Cirque Le Masque brings an entirely new dimension to circus arts. In this sophisticated animal free, European-style circus, brilliantly costumed jugglers, acrobats, and comics perform gasp-inducing acts of balance, grace, and strength and detailed teamwork, set to spellbinding special effects and a creatively inventive music and storyline.

On Friday, Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. the theater will enter the world of Carnivale. Your ticket is your passport to the world's greatest party in Rio De Janeiro.

In Paris, Athens, Dubai, Caracas, as well as in numerous other world capitals and in cities across the U.S. from Las Vegas to Atlantic City, audiences have thrilled to the theatrical wizardry of this extraordinary international troupe, Cirque Le Masque.

The show begins with a discouraged young tourist, Moira, listening to the sounds of a jetliner which she dreams will sweep her to Rio, home of her fantasy. She has always wanted to become a Cirque performer. We follow Moira on her arrival in Rio, where the rhythms of Carnivale excite and invigorate her. Through the magical and captivating acrobats, comics, and character performers, Moira sheds the weight of the world layer by layer. She meets Terrence and Jen at Carnivale and begins a journey to become something more than any of them could hope. All they need is to find the courage to change . . . and change they do!

This event is sponsored by Superior Tire and Rubber Corp. Seats are reserved for this event and are available at the theater office or online at www.strutherslibrarytheater.com. Call 723-7231 for ticket information. Call ahead to reserve handicapped seating.
