Lioness Club helps the needy this Christmas

December 13, 2010
The Times Observer

Members of the Warren Lioness Club took non-perishable food items for a basket to the Dec. 6 meeting which was held at Perkins in Warren.

The Lioness members did well selling BonTon coupon booklets for the mid-November Community Days. They also participated in ringing the bells for The Salvation Army in November. Following the business meeting and dinner, hostesses Autumn Doherty and Cheryl Doherty raffled off the Christmas decorations that were centerpieces on the tables.

Topics for future fund-raisers included the Lions turkey dinner in January and the BonTon coupon booklets for February.

Due to the holidays, there will be no board of directors meeting in December. The next Lioness meeting will be Monday, Jan. 3, at 6 p.m. at Perkins in Warren. Members should note the time change.
