GIRARD - Warren County Christian School got off to a rocky start in its second boys game of the season, losing 47-32 to Girard Alliance Christian to fall to 0-2.
"We're still a little sloppy, but the big thing is our shooting percentage," said WCCS coach Steve Zwald. "It should come."
Six Lions scored in a 14-point second quarter, but, after starting off to a 6-6 tie early in the first, they trailed by 12 at the end of the quarter.
WCCS made the score closer with a 9-0 fourth quarter.
Andrew Laird led WCCS with eight points; Andrew Hammersley had eight rebounds and four blocks; Carson Moore six points, six rebounds and five steals, and; Ricky Zortman four steals and three assists.

GIRARD - Without a senior, Warren County Christian School will battle uphill this season. The Lady Lions dropped a tough one on Friday at New Penn Christian Conference-power Girard Alliance.
"I saw a lot of improvement with these girls this week, even though the score doesn't necessarily reflect that," said WCCS coach Rae Parmeter, whose Lions are 0-2, "and toward the end of the game, they started clicking."
