December 7, 2010
The Times Observer

Northwest Savings Bank has opened its new, full-service banking office in Youngsville at 202 East Main Street. Borough and bank officials cut a ceremonial ribbon to officially dedicate the new facility at 9 a.m. Monday. As part of the opening ceremony, Kari Degnan, Manager of the Youngsville Office of Northwest Savings Bank formally presented a check for $1,000 to ROY, the Revitalization of Youngsville group, to be used for the group's ongoing efforts to promote Youngsville.

In her remarks, Degnan stated, "Since we came here just over a year ago, Youngsville has made us part of the community. Now, we're giving back. First with this donation and then with our new bank office, which is a concrete example of our corporate commitment to our home town of Youngsville. We've made our new facility the best bank we can, and we invite everyone in the Youngsville area to come and visit us."

The bank's new facility features two lanes of drive-through banking plus a drive-up ATM. Inside, a large, comfortable lobby expanded teller line and personal banking offices offer privacy and comfort. The bank moved from temporary quarters at 205 East Main Street that it had occupied since opening in November of 2009.

The new bank office will observe expanded customer service hours. Drive-through banking will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, from 8:30 to 6 Fridays and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Lobby banking is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, from 9 a.m. through 6 p.m. on Fridays, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Manager Degnan noted that many customers have been waiting for the new facility, especially for drive-through and ATM banking, and now it is available.

With the ribbon cutting and the opening, the bank began its Grand Opening Celebration titled "Twelve Days of Christmas." Extending through the holiday, it will include special banking offers and daily gifts and themed refreshments for all visitors, customers and non-customers alike.
