RAYMOND BLACK

Raymond O. Black, 81, of 5416 East Lake Road Erie, Pa. passed away at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at Ball Pavillion, East Lake Road, Erie. He was formerly of Patchen Hollow Road near Youngsville. Raymond was the husband of Nancy (Caswell) Black.

Raymond was born in Youngsville, Pa. on April 17, 1929, a son of the late Frances (Golden) and Fred Black. He worked as a funeral director's assistant at McKinney Funeral Homes in Youngsville and Sugar Grove, and was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Warren, where he served as a deacon, assistant pastor, and sang in the singing band for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Al Black, of Erie, Pa., and Scott Black, of Endid, Okla.; a daughter Cheri Black, of Endid, Okla.; a brother William Black, of Youngsville, Pa., as well as several grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Black, and two sisters, Mary Anne Wright and Marie Carlson.

Friends are invited to call on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services in Youngsville, where a funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, Novemebr 15, 2010, with Pastor Lynn Gatz officiating.
