James and Debbra Brown of Warren are excited to announce the engagement of their son, Chris Brown, to Melissa Bittner. Melissa is the daughter of R. Craig Bittner and Rebecca Bittner of Somerset.
Chris is a 1996 graduate of Youngsville High School and a 2001 graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor of landscape architecture degree. He is currently employed as a landscape architect at Derck and Edson Associates in Lititz, Pa. The bride is a 1997 graduate of Somerset Area High School, a 2001 graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor of science degree in recreation park management, and a 2008 graduate of Shippensburg University with a master of education degree in secondary school counseling. Melissa is employed at Manheim Central School District as a school counselor in Manheim, Pa.
The couple resides in Leola, Pa., and plan a Friday, Dec. 10, wedding.
