Kathleen Baker Blackman, formerly of Warren, has received a grant writing certificate from Emory University, and achieved notable mention as having passed with no recommendations. Blackman's initial project received the highest grade in peer review, and her final proposal was chosen as a design for future classes. She is a 2010 graduate of the University of South Carolina Beaufort with a bachelor of science degree in human services. She is employed with Senior Services of Beaufort County as an aging program specialist; also holding certificates as an Arthritis Foundation exercise instructor and as a chronic disease self management specialist from Stanford University. She resides in Bluffton, S.C., with her daughter, Anne.

Elizabeth Rusch Fetters completed her master's degree in library science from the University of Maryland in August. Fetters is a 1996 graduate of Warren Area High School and a daughter of Donald and Carolyn Worley. She earned her bachelor's degree in music education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her master of music degree from Kent State University. During her studies at the University of Maryland, she served as an intern in the Walters Art Museum Archives at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore. She was also a contributor to the article, "The Walters Islamic Manuscript Digitization Project," which won the Gerd Muehsam Award from the Art Society of North America. This article will be published in the fall issue of "Art Documentation," a professional journal for the art and museum fields.
