The Boonies International, an Independent Film Festival at Warren, announces its first annual Sportsman's Film Festival to be held Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Woman's Club of Warren, 310 Market St., sponsored by Grizzly Gary Outdoors, United Refining, Gro-Warren and Council on Tourism
The festival is ideal for anyone interested in the great outdoors and amateur filmmakers who document their outdoor adventures on film. Hunters, fishermen, conservationists and those interested in outdoor observation are encouraged to attend the event, which runs from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Admission is $5 for the entire day; you're free to leave and return. There will be food and drink available all day. More information is available at www.warrenadventures/sports/index.
Enjoy viewing a full day of sporting films from around the region, including film from local filmmakers Tom Byler and Vance Fox. Warren's own national sportswriter Mike Bleech will be on hand to introduce films and moderate question and answer sessions with filmmakers. The feature film, "Hunting Camp," by regional filmmaker John C. Lyons also will be screened.
This annual event is for the benefit of The Boonies International Film Festival of Warren, an independent film festival for filmmakers of all ages. The inaugural film festival will take place in Warren Aug. 17-20, 2011. Watch for more news and information about the Boonies International or visit www.thebooniesinternational.com.
