Bulldog Golf Scramble

Golf Scramble is being presented by Polly's ShurSave Market and all proceeds will benefit the Tidioute Community Charter School Boys Basketball Team.

Date is set for Saturday, Aug. 28,at Speers Golf Course starting at 9 a.m.

Cost is $160 per team, four persons per team. $40 per person. This includes 18 holes with a golf cart, all beverages will be provided along with hot dogs on the turn.

Cook out and prizes following the event which will take place Rain or Shine.

You must be at least 21 years of age.

McKown Memorial

Bass Tournament

Saturday, September 11 will be a annual Glenn McKown Memorial Bass tournament.

Applications are available at the Tidioute Trading Post or from Tournament director Deb Genter at 484-7407.

Members of the eighth grade class at Tidioute Community Charter School will be selling refreshments at the weigh-in.

Weigh-in is at 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tidioute Boat Launch.

Public is welcome to attend and see all the bass that is brought in.

Lions Club activities

Tidioute Lions Club members will be selling 50/50 tickets every weekend from now until the Pennsylvania State Championship Fishing Tournament which is set for Sept. 23, 24, 25 and 26.

Members of the Lions Club will be in front of the Northwest Savings Bank every Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Polly's ShurSave Market every Saturday from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m. and at the Tidioute Trading Post every Sunday from 9 a.m.

The drawing will be drawn on Sunday, Sept. 26.

Choir concert

Looking for something relaxing, entertaining, and inexpensive to do on a Saturday night? Then come to the Tidioute Presbyterian Church at 196 Main Street on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 7:30 p.m. and hear the church choir present it's 2010 concert "With Praise to God". There is no charger, but a free will offering will be taken.

Watson Township

Fall Clean-Up

Watson Township has scheduled a Fall Clean-Up for Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Community Building from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for all township residents and campers.

No batteries, solvents or propane tanks will be accepted. Tires will be collected with a cost of $1.50 for passenger size tires and there will be a higher fee for larger tires.

Residents are being asked to post the house number on their residents to assist the fire department with location when they respond to an emergency situation.

Thunder In The Hoot

The 5th Annual Thunder In The Hoot Dice Run will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18 with registration from 10 a.m. to noon at the Tidioute Community Charter School.

A $10 fee per motorcycle and $5 for additional rider will be collected at registration.

There will be food, live entertainment (Matt MaLoof and the Contraband) and door prizes following the run at the Tidioute Hotel.

Prizes will be awarded for the highest and lowest rolls.

Anyone wishing to make a direct cash donation can make checks payable to "Thunder In The Hoot" and either mail it directly to the Tidioute Community Charter School (TCCS) and mail it to 241 Main ST, Tidioute, Pa. 16351 or in care of Marlene Higgins-Treasurer, 56 Main ST, Tidioute, PA 16351.

Ham and Turkey Party

Pennsylvania State Championship Fishing Tournament committee members will be holding a Ham and Turkey Party at the Tidioute Firehall on Sunday, Sept. 5.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the games begin at 7:30 p.m.

Door prizes have been donated by local merchants and there will be two sets of door prize drawing held.

The Kitchen will be open for your convenience and there will be free snacks and beverages.

Children the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

This is their last big fund raiser before the 51st Pennsylvania State Championship Fishing Tournament which will be held Sept. 23 through Sunday, Sept. 26.
