Kelly Dawn Brose of Pittsfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Brose, has been named to the honors list from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Va. To be named to the list, a student must earn a grade average of 3.75 or better.

Several area students were named to the dean's list at Clarion University for the second semester of the 2009-10 academic year. Dean's list students must have earned a 3.5 grade average or better. Area dean's list students include:

Laura R. Patterson, daughter of Todd and Dr. Kathleen Patterson of Tidioute, a junior at Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire, earned honors for the spring semester.

Three local students were named to the dean's list at Waynesburg University, Waynesburg, Pa., for the spring semester. To be named to the list, a student must earn a grade average of 3.5 or better for the semester. Named were:

Elisha A. Jones, a junior athletic training major form Russell and a graduate of Eisenhower High School; Patrick E. Snook, a junior computer forensics major from Sugar Grove and a graduate of Eisenhower High School; and Nichole L.
