Jim and Anne Miller celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a family gathering at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel in Watkins Glen, N.Y. The former Anne Lightner married James F. Miller on July 9, 1960, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Jamestown, N.Y. Jim and Anne toured New York state on their honeymoon, and the family revisited several attractions in the Corning/Watkins Glen area. A majority of the planning and arrangement for the trip was made by their daughter-in-law, Rebecca Miller.
The Millers have two children, a daughter, Lynn M. Johnson, and a son, Timothy J. Miller, and three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jane and Luke Miller.
Both are graduates of Southwestern Central High School in Jamestown, N.Y. Mr. Miller retired as regional president of AAA East Central with 45 years of service with AAA. Mrs. Miller was the financial secretary of Grace United Methodist Church until her retirement.
