Allison Marie Finley and Christopher Nils Hodell of Louisa, Va., have announced their engagement. She is the daughter of Diana and Eric Paddock of Warren and Diane and Dirk Finley of Clarendon. He is the son of Bonnie and Eric Hodell of East Patchogue, in Long Island, N.Y.
The bride-to-be, a 2001 honors graduate of Warren Area High School, earned a bachelor of science degree in education from Juniata College, Huntingdon, Pa., in 2005 and is a fifth-grade teacher in Louisa County, Va. Her fiance is also a fifth-grade teacher in Louisa County, Va. He earned a bachelor of science degree in education from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Fla., in 2000.
An Oct. 9 wedding is planned in Louisa.
