Emily Rae Lowe and Christopher John Best were united in marriage on April 10, 2010 at 3 p.m. at the Barcelo Maya Colonial Resort in Rivera Maya, Mexico. Parents of the bride are Raymond and Susan Lowe, of Warren, Pa. Parents of the groom are Gillian Best, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Randal Best, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Grandmother of the bride is Beatrice Whyte, of Warren, Pa. Grandparents of the groom are Patricia Best of Brantford, Ontario, and Ernest and Minnie Mayes of Peterborough, Ontario.
The bride chose Drew Lowe, of Indiana, Pa., her brother, as her man of honor. Her attendants were Daphne Johnson, of New York, N.Y.; Meaghan Leon, of San Bernardino, Calif.; Kevin Remmell, and Paul Nesline, of Columbia, MD, all friends of the bride.
The groom chose Leon Tam, of Calgary, his friend, as his best man. His groomsmen were Dr. Michael Porter, of Washington D.C.; Dr. Christopher Hahn, of Calgary, friends of the groom, and Gregory Best, of Calgary, and Graham Best, of Vancouver B.C., brothers of the groom.

The bride graduated from Duke University in Durham, N.C. in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in English and sociology, and from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario in 2007 with an honours degree in legal studies. The groom also graduated from Duke University in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, and from the University of Waterloo in 2010 with a Master's of applied science degree in fire safe engineering. Chris plays in the Canadian Football League for the Saskatchewan Roughriders as an offensive lineman. Emily is currently in the process of immigrating to Canada. The couple plans a honeymoon, after the 2010 football season, to Belize, and currently resides in Regina, Saskatchewan.
