Brian Collins, son of Christine Collins and Richard Collins, both of Warren, received a bachelor of arts degree in communications from Hope College, Holland, Mich., on May 9.

Vanessa Leigh Briggs, daughter of Curt and Jane Briggs of Russell, graduated May 17 from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. As a Hillman Scholar, Vanessa completed her senior clinical work in the burn unit at Cornell Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. After completing the national nursing board exam in June, she will begin her nursing career by working at one of New York City's major hospitals.

Jacqueline English, daughter of David and Lori English, recently graduated from Penn State, Erie - The Behrend College earning a bachelor of science degree in accounting with a minor in operations and supply chain management and SAP certification. While at Behrend, English was a member and vice president of the accounting club, member of the finance club, initiated into Beta Gamma Sigma National Business Honor Society, and was a member of the Behrend Lions Dance Team. She plans to study for her CPA at Duquesne University this summer and begin her career in November 2010 as an auditor with KPMG, Pittsburgh.

Colton Black of Sugar Grove recently graduated from Precision Manufacturing Institute (PMI) in Meadville. He completed the CNC Programmer diploma program with a 4.0 grade average and was selected to receive PMI's Performance Award, which recognizes students who have demonstrated high standards for academics, attendance, professional image, and work habits.
