Sarah Whited and Jeremy Winkler were united in marriage on September 19, 2009. The wedding took place at Salem Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Tony Grant. A reception followed at the Elks Lodge in Fredericksburg.

The maid of honor was Melissa Whited, sister of the bride, and the matron of honor was Karlie Vaughn, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Christy Ruhe and Melissa Port, both friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Regan Baumgarner and Claire Baumgarner, cousins of the groom. Best man was Tom Stanford, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Steven Pappas, Jeromy Dean, and Travis Eggleston, friends of the groom. Hannah Hoffman, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl and Brendon Curry, cousin of the bride, served as the ring bearer.

The bride is the daughter of Rodney and Beverly Whited of Russell. A 2002 graduate of Eisenhower High School, Sarah received a bachelor's degree in music therapy from Mansfield University. She is employed as a music therapist for Spotsylvania County Schools in Virginia.

The groom is the son of Rod and Wini Del Winkler of West Union, S.C. A 2001 graduate from Walhalla High School in Walhalla, SC, Jeremy received his bachelor's degree from Winthrop University in political science and history. He is pursuing a master's degree in applied politics from the University of Akron. Jeremy is employed as a legislative assistant for Congressman J. Gresham Barrett (SC-3).

The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico. They reside in Fredericksburg, Va.
